This year, Detroit Lions Draft offers a cumulative ranking for each position.
These are a combination of numerical rankings from founder/editor Jeff Risdon (@JeffRisdon) and Lead Scout Darren Page (@DarrenPage15).
In order to make a ranking, one of the evaluators must have broken down at least three games from the 2013 season, or have enough of a prior background to offer an educated opinion.
General Notes:
Jake Matthews gets the top spot over Greg Robinson because his overall aggregate grade is a tenth of a point higher. It’s really a 1a and 1b situation, though each will appeal to different styles.
Brandon Thomas was ranked at guard, as was Xavier Su’a-Filo. Both would rank in the 7-10 range at tackle.
Cyrus Kouandjio’s chronic knee issues impacted his score quite a bit.
Both noted the immense potential of Seantrel Henderson to emerge as a dominant force, which makes him one of ht emore frustrating prospects in recent times.
The biggest divide was on Billy Turner. Page likes his upside and athleticism quite a bit.
Morgan Moses was also a divisive figure. Risdon favors his length and ability to absorb rushers.
Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is from McGill University in Montreal. He was the best tackle during Shrine Game week and completely dominated the CIS, which is equivalent to a strong D-III NCAA conference.
